The children's author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
