Loyal followers of the pop star are urging that a man who jumped a fence and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade accompanied by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes clips of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Several supporters also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, winning a pair for best costume and production design.
