Brian Eno Urges Public Help to Propel Together for Palestine Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to send a traditional song from Palestine to the peak of the festive singles chart. The project hopes to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also highlighting Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Chance for Solidarity and an "Surprise Victory"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a chance to stand with Palestinians this festive season. He remarked the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“It would be incredible if that happened, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely disappointed if it doesn't manage to, holiday tracks are a category of their own.”

Powerful Theme of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the adaptation of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“It occupies a very special place for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than exist without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we desire to exist a dignified life that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Contributing Musicians

The single was laid down after a solidarity show held in late summer. Initially planned to be done as a live recording, the piece was shelved during the concert due to scheduling overruns.

The impressive roster of artists appearing on Lullaby includes a range of well-known figures from the music world. All were part of the September show, which reportedly raised a considerable total for relief efforts.

Production and Release

Lullaby was brought to life by a trio of music creators. The track features a combination of the heritage language with contemporary English verses.

The group managing the initiative have clarified that their goal is to generate maximum funds for a dedicated fund. These proceeds will be distributed to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an established charity.

“There is no a fixed goal,” a figure explained. “We will pursue as much as possible. Naturally, the more the merrier. Every penny goes out to Gaza.”

The situation in the region was characterized as its widespread damage, with a vast majority of infrastructure described as destroyed or damaged.

“Against that backdrop, a few million won't make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is above all raising awareness for this issue and demonstrating the human dimension of the story.”

The track is scheduled for release this Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from mid-December.
