Barcelona to Host Historic Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
